I was born in Safranbolu in 1986 due to my father’s obligation to serve in a government hospital. He was a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. I started elementary school at TED Kayseri College and completed middle and high school at Tarsus American College when we moved back to Adana.

After completing my medical degree at Yeditepe University, I began my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine. I served for 2 years in Adıyaman’s Besni district in accordance with my government service obligation after completing my residency in Edirne. Then I continued my professional and academic work at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital. I completed my training in assisted reproductive techniques (IVF) at Memorial Şişli Hospital IVF and Reproductive Genetics Center. Since 2019, I have been continuing my professional and academic work in infertility, obstetrics, and gynecology at Istanbul Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital. I am the third generation to continue the tradition of being an obstetrician and gynecologist, following my grandfather Dr. Edip Ökten and my father Prof. Dr. Süheyl Ökten.
